I hesitate to comment, but wow. I could point out that a Vice President without concience and various lies and what not is at best a gross exaggeration. And to compare the very clear obstruction of justice by Nixon to the commuting of a sentence involving a fairly, let's say grey perjury charge is laughable. Granted, it's Keith Olberman making these comments, which is akin to Ann Coulter railing against Clinton, but all I can say is that was an overwrought piece of bullshit. I could go further and argue that none of the partisans harranguing the president ever really forgave the 2000 election (though certainly some like-minded people have turned on him and I'm no great fan of the man). At the end of the day, the war was not some vast conspiracy. It may be a flwed strategy. It was certainly handled badly in the early stages. It's not and has never been a devious plot designed to enrich "Big Oil" or keep the nation in a state of fear in order to maintain political power or any of the vast number of reasons I've heard cited over the years to discredit the idea in an ad hominem manner. Fuck, I feel like I'm commenting on Matt's page.
