holiday ale fest 09

Another huge success. Belles of the ball include: Bridgeport's Bourboneezer, Laurelwood's Polska Porter, Hair of the Dog's Jim 2009 (serious blending), and Upright's Holy Herb. I hope to get back in the next few days and add some more to the list.

I'm from Perth, Australia, but I was in Portland for the Holiday Ale Fest. It was truly epic and had probably the best selection of boutique micro-brews and awesome people I'm ever likely to come across. Amazing city, amazing event. If only I could get the beer (and culture, and atmosphere, and weather) here!
